Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years experience in hospitality management or related field
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Proficient in financial management and budgeting
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a team
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and hotel management software
- Valid driver’s license
- Commitment to upholding company policies and standards
- Willingness to participate in on-call and shift coverage
- Ability to perform light physical tasks including lifting up to 20 pounds
- Availability to attend ongoing training and development sessions
Job Qualifications
- At least 6 years progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- Or a 4-year college degree and 4 to 5 years of related experience
- Or a 2-year college degree and 5 to 6 years of related experience
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all employees and guests
- Ability to listen, understand, and clarify concerns
- Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
- Approach all encounters with an attentive friendly courteous and service-oriented manner
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Participate in M.O.D. coverage as necessary
- Maintain regular attendance per company standards
- Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Comply with company standards to encourage safe and efficient operations
- Effective problem handling including anticipation and resolution
- Ability to analyze complex information and data
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
Job Duties
- Tour operating departments daily making adjustments as needed via department heads
- Conduct weekly staff meetings including training sessions and sales and operations reviews
- Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
- Hold monthly financial reviews with all department managers and supervisors
- Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity levels and accounting procedures
- Develop managers through competency training and corporate programs
- Conduct daily HHBR meetings focusing on prospecting and existing account calls
- Participate in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
- Perform M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
- Monitor and mentor management trainees
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Oversee hotel budget process as required
- Facilitate service standards training across departments
- Create a positive team-oriented environment focusing on guest satisfaction
- Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering managers
- Manage processing of invoices daily
- Ensure timely submission of financial documents to corporate office
- Maintain property cleanliness and maintenance
- Ensure employees provide attentive and courteous service
- Forecast monthly financial position with revenue and expense analysis
- Conduct management interviews and ensure compliance with hiring standards
- Perform executive committee members’ performance appraisals
- Motivate and discipline management personnel per company procedures
- Assist Vice President or Regional Director with assigned duties
- Ensure fair and equitable treatment for all employees
- Engage with clients and guests in public areas during peak times
- Manage hotel safe security and audit procedures
- Conduct monthly credit meetings and enforce credit policies
- Complete required corporate training modules and certification
- Ensure all scheduled meetings occur on property
