Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior leadership experience required
  • 4-6 years of restaurant experience preferred
  • knowledge of company policies and applicable laws
  • ability to stand for long periods and walk extensively
  • ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • ability to push, reach, bend, stoop, and use hands for handling objects
  • capability to taste, smell, and verbally communicate
  • ability to use various forms of vision
  • capacity to access all restaurant areas
  • ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
  • compliance with state alcohol serving regulations if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • prior experience in a leadership role
  • 4-6 years of experience in family, fast-food, or casual dining restaurants preferred
  • college or culinary education preferred

Job Duties

  • Manage daily restaurant operations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws
  • recruit, interview, hire, and train employees
  • plan, assign, and direct work
  • appraise performance and administer rewards or discipline including termination
  • address complaints and resolve problems
  • foster a positive restaurant culture and employee engagement
  • coach and mentor team members for success and guest satisfaction
  • model professional behavior and create a hospitable atmosphere
  • communicate sales performance and corporate initiatives to staff
  • assist team members with category duties as needed
  • lead sales building activities and suggestive selling
  • maximize table turnover and sales per guest and hour
  • meet and greet guests while resolving food quality and service issues
  • maintain efficient operations with proper cost controls and profit management
  • ensure compliance with OSHA, health and safety codes and company safety policies
  • enforce safe work behaviors to maintain safety
  • monitor food quality and cleanliness standards
  • control daily operations including cash handling, inventory, and scheduling
  • manage P&L including food, labor, and carryout costs
  • control food costs via recipe and portion adherence
  • manage labor costs with optimized scheduling
  • ensure proper use of restaurant equipment
  • maintain facility and company assets
  • perform other duties as assigned
