Job Requirements
- Must successfully pass background check
- CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work in a gym setting, move about club floors and rooms, communicate with employees, members, and the public
- Ability to access and operate the company computer system including preparing documents, entering data into computer system, read reports from a computer database or email system
- Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs
Job Qualifications
- 2 years of sales management experience
- 3-4 years of customer service experience
- Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
- Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions
- Strong detail orientation with a systematic and thorough approach to problem solving
- Good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
- Excellent MS Office skills
- Embraces core values of the company
Job Duties
- Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff members including Assistant General Managers and Fitness Consultants
- Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff members
- Set and achieve membership and revenue goals, track KPIs, and develop strategies to increase membership retention and new sign-ups
- Provide constructive feedback to staff members on their performance using clear and specific language
- Ensure high-quality customer service by addressing member concerns or complaints and managing membership inquiries
- Engage with members in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their needs and concerns
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols
- Supervise maintenance and cleanliness of facility including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas
- Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies or unexpected disruptions providing necessary instructions and updates
