Job Requirements

  • Must successfully pass background check
  • CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work in a gym setting, move about club floors and rooms, communicate with employees, members, and the public
  • Ability to access and operate the company computer system including preparing documents, entering data into computer system, read reports from a computer database or email system
  • Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs

Job Qualifications

  • 2 years of sales management experience
  • 3-4 years of customer service experience
  • Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills with people at all levels and in all functions
  • Strong detail orientation with a systematic and thorough approach to problem solving
  • Good time management, organizational, and record-keeping skills
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Embraces core values of the company

Job Duties

  • Hiring, training, scheduling, and supervising staff members including Assistant General Managers and Fitness Consultants
  • Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff members
  • Set and achieve membership and revenue goals, track KPIs, and develop strategies to increase membership retention and new sign-ups
  • Provide constructive feedback to staff members on their performance using clear and specific language
  • Ensure high-quality customer service by addressing member concerns or complaints and managing membership inquiries
  • Engage with members in a friendly and approachable manner, actively listening to their needs and concerns
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols
  • Supervise maintenance and cleanliness of facility including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas
  • Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies or unexpected disruptions providing necessary instructions and updates
