Job Requirements

  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including compliance with dress code and wearing a name tag
  • Comply with Avion Hospitality's standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations
  • Comply with certification requirements including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR and First Aid
  • Conduct daily ATOM meetings focusing on prospecting and existing account calls
  • Engage actively in hotel sales efforts including client meetings and hosting events
  • Tour operating departments daily and adjust via department heads
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings and training sessions
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate directed programs timely
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with managers and supervisors
  • Ensure department heads maintain budgeted productivity and accounting procedures
  • Develop managers for advancement through training programs
  • Participate in M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
  • Maintain contact with management trainees
  • Adhere and train others on Avion Hospitality policies and procedures
  • Ensure training in service standards occurs in all departments
  • Assist in creating a positive, team-oriented environment focusing on guests
  • Inspect rooms regularly with housekeeping and engineering
  • Ensure processing of invoices daily
  • Submit required financial documents monthly
  • Oversee cleanliness and maintenance through inspections
  • Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, courteous and efficient
  • Forecast monthly financial position with reforecasting
  • Conduct interviews and follow hiring procedures
  • Ensure compliance in interviewing and hiring procedures
  • Interview final candidates before offers
  • Perform department manager performance appraisals
  • Motivate, coach, counsel and discipline management staff
  • Maintain professional working relationships and communication
  • Ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees
  • Meet with sales clients, greet guests during peak times
  • Maintain procedures for hotel safe security
  • Conduct bi-monthly credit meetings
  • Complete corporate training and become certified trainer as required
  • Ensure scheduled meetings occur on property

Job Qualifications

  • 6+ years of progressive hotel leadership experience, resort experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or Business preferred, equivalent experience accepted
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to analyze and act on performance metrics
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, passionate about people
  • Proven success leading large, multi-department teams in complex operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Marriott systems knowledge a plus
  • Valid driver's license
  • Flexibility to meet the dynamic needs of the resort

Job Duties

  • Lead with presence, fostering a culture of hospitality and accountability
  • Drive financial performance through revenue growth, cost management, and forecasting
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences through continuous service and quality improvements
  • Develop, coach, and mentor department leaders to build future Avion and Marriott leaders
  • Conduct property walks, team huddles, and regular performance reviews with key leaders
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to ensure goals and metrics are achieved
  • Lead resort activation strategies including community engagement and on-property events
  • Maintain full compliance with Avion Hospitality, brand, and local standards
