Job Requirements

  • Experience as a hotel general manager or at least three years in hotel rooms, operations, or sales leadership roles
  • Strong ability to handle challenging situations with distressed employees or guests
  • Competence with learning new technology systems
  • High professionalism and strong communication skills
  • Willingness to participate in community activities and volunteer work
  • Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and practices

Job Qualifications

  • Current or prior hotel general manager experience
  • Three or more years of hotel rooms, operations, or sales leadership experience within major brands such as Hilton, Marriott, or Hyatt
  • Ability to defuse distressed associates and guests effectively
  • Proven capability to learn and utilize systems technology
  • High level of professionalism
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Hospitality certifications such as CHA, CHRM, CHSP are a plus

Job Duties

  • Provide leadership and strategic planning to all departments in support of service culture to maximize operations and guest satisfaction
  • Champion brand and company reputation to exceed performance standards
  • Contribute to financial forecasts and budgets
  • Analyze monthly profit and loss statements with regional accounting and operations teams
  • Optimize revenues including room and food and beverage sales to maximize profitability
  • Establish a supportive team environment through training, development, coaching, counseling, and mentorship
  • Create an ambitious, fun, and loyal team using effective retention techniques
  • Recruit top talent creatively both internally and externally
  • Attend and contribute to weekly revenue meetings hosted by regional revenue team
  • Handle reporting required by company, brand, and other requests
  • Participate actively in local community activities and volunteer work
  • Manage hotel-specific accounting duties including timely and accurate payroll processing
