Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- One or more years of relevant delivery or moving experience
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift heavy items and navigate tight spaces
- Ability to own and maintain a box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
- Access to plastic stretch wrap, moving blankets, tie-down or ratchet straps, and a basic tool kit for assembly jobs
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of experience in furniture delivery, moving, logistics, or related fields
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry 100 lbs or more with or without assistance
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Physical capability to navigate stairs and tight spaces
- Experience with light furniture assembly
- Ownership of a suitable vehicle such as box truck, cargo van, or pickup truck
Job Duties
- Transport furniture and appliances from stores to customer locations
- Protect items during transit using blankets, stretch wrap, and straps
- Perform white-glove delivery including in-home placement and light assembly
- Communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
- Navigate stairs and tight spaces carefully to avoid damage or injury
- Maintain and inspect vehicle to comply with transportation laws
- Handle multi-piece and large furniture sets with care
