Job Requirements
- Must be able to provide your own helper
- Must possess a clean driver's license
- Experience with safe vehicle operation
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, walking, stooping
- Ability to work in non-climate controlled environments or outside in adverse weather
- Excellent human relations and verbal communication skills
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must comply with company appearance standards
- Must complete all required documentation and safety tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating 26-foot box trucks
- Ability to read and follow diagrams or setup instructions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as an Owner Operator or Independent Contractor
- Basic skills in minor furniture repairs and touch ups
- Knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance procedures
- Ability to lift 75 lbs and maneuver heavy packages with assistance
- Familiarity with company policies and procedures
- Ability to maintain professional appearance
Job Duties
- Provide courteous, efficient and damage free furniture delivery to the customer
- Provide safe delivery of furniture while representing Hudson's Furniture in a professional manner
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, complying with all governmental and corporate procedures
- Answer all customer questions and provide exceptional customer care and service
- Demonstrate working knowledge of building and setting up furniture pieces and ability to read diagrams or directions as needed
- Comply with Hudson's Furniture appearance guidelines
- Maintain extensive communication with customers and manager/supervisors
- Complete all company mandated documentation including electronic and/or paperwork
- Perform minor repairs and touch ups to the furniture
- Participate in morning stretches in line with warehouse safety program
- Report all injuries, damages, and any other issues immediately to supervisor
- Complete daily DVIR form and perform minor maintenance repairs as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of truck and/or bay area if loading
- Maintain a high completion percentage monthly with minimum of 92% or higher
