Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least one year of cooking experience in a restaurant, senior living, or similar environment
  • ability to work full-time hours
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to cook with speed, accuracy, and efficiency
  • passion for hospitality and senior care
  • willingness to engage warmly with residents and team members

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • culinary degree preferred
  • Serve Safe certification preferred
  • minimum of one year cooking experience in restaurant or senior living settings
  • strong knowledge of cooking preparation and production
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • enthusiasm for hospitality and senior engagement

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook meals according to community menu cycle programs
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
  • ensure food quality, appearance, and presentation meet established guidelines
  • serve meals and assist with ware washing as needed
  • evaluate food service by visiting residents and gathering feedback
  • help revise operations and procedures based on evaluations
  • represent the community positively by engaging warmly with residents
