Job Qualifications

  • H.S. diploma/GED
  • minimum two years of experience in retail or food service/restaurant setting
  • minimum two years of experience as team leader or supervisor preferably in food service/restaurant
  • knowledge of special dietary needs and allergens preferred
  • customer service experience in public-serving position preferred
  • knowledge of Microsoft Office and internet applications preferred
  • basic knowledge of natural foods and cooperatives preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead and motivate staff
  • strong communication and listening skills
  • handle multiple demands and difficult situations with tact and diplomacy
  • work with little or no supervision
  • oversee opening and closing duties
  • place supply requests timely
  • maintain daily communication of operational issues
  • enforce food safety standards and proper documentation
  • monitor food preparation consistency
  • assist with attaining department goals
  • communicate customer feedback
  • assist with staffing coverage
  • monitor staff breaks
  • assist with training and performance feedback
  • provide prompt and courteous customer service
  • problem-solve customer concerns
  • maintain attractive and well-stocked displays
