Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
- Ability to pass DOT and CDL regulations
- Valid Class A CDL (for multi-unit CMV) or valid Class B CDL (for single-unit CMV) with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
- Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Preferred 1 year experience driving semi-truck or trailer
- Preferred 6 months experience in home delivery or retail customer service
- Preferred 3 months experience operating forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one
- Ability to pass motor vehicle record screening
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
- Experience operating forklifts or loading/unloading vehicles preferred
- Experience in retail customer service or in-home delivery preferred
- Certification from a driving school or equivalent experience preferred
Job Duties
- Provide SMART customer service through execution of Lowe's policies
- Assist customers by locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, or loading merchandise
- Respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions
- Communicate stock, special order, benefits, applications, and warranty information
- Plan delivery activities and print loading tickets
- Load and deliver merchandise according to schedule
- Inspect product condition before loading or assisting with loading
- Match items on invoice with quantities loaded
- Ensure safe and secure loads within DOT regulations
- Update delivery and route status on tracking systems
- Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Complete DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance
- Detect and report signs of theft or security risks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of store and work areas
- Follow safety requirements related to job duties
- Operate store equipment as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
