Job Requirements

  • Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
  • Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
  • Ability to pass MVR screen in accordance with company requirements
  • Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration if required by law
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations
  • Prefered 1 year experience driving a semi-truck or trailer or certification from a driving school
  • Prefered 6 months experience performing in-home delivery or retail customer service
  • Prefered 3 months experience operating a forklift or Moffett onloading/offloading a vehicle

Job Duties

  • Provide SMART customer service at all times through the daily execution of Lowe's customer service policies, procedures and programs
  • Seek out customers to understand their needs and assist in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and/or loading merchandise
  • Listen to and respond knowledgeably and promptly to customer and employee questions by walking them through projects when necessary
  • Demonstrate sincere appreciation to customers
  • Communicate information to customers regarding all stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, application, and warranty information related to Lowe's programs
  • Contact customers regarding delivery or coordinate with the truck driver to call the customer
  • Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule to ensure on-time delivery of orders
  • Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload according to delivery order
  • Inspect condition of products such as appliances before loading for delivery or assisting customer with loading
  • Match items on invoice with quantities loaded by verifying descriptions, items, and model numbers
  • Ensure loads are safe, secure, and within Department of Transportation regulations
  • Update delivery and route status on system for tracking purposes
  • Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery
  • Verify daily vehicle inspections and report and ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and repairs for delivery vehicles and other equipment
  • Complete Department of Transportation reporting to maintain DOT certification and CDL compliance
  • Detect common signs of shoplifting, theft, and other security risks and promptly communicate them to management and/or Asset Protection
  • Ensure compliance with housekeeping standards and programs to maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment including conducting daily safety reviews, noting hazards, keeping aisles clear, and securing doors and gates
  • Adhere to all safety requirements relevant to one’s regular job duties
  • Operate store equipment as needed depending on specific role and department
  • Perform other duties as assigned
