Job Requirements

  • Class A CDL license or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement
  • Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment
  • Ability to pass MVR screening according to company requirements
  • Ability to obtain sales-related licensure or registration as required by law
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Ability to comply with all DOT and CDL regulations
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
  • Preferably one year of experience driving semi-truck or trailer
  • Experience in home delivery or retail customer service
  • Experience operating forklift or Moffett for loading and unloading
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain workplace safety
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good physical stamina for handling merchandise and delivery duties
  • Willingness to perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement

  • Ability to pass motor vehicle record screening according to company standards
  • Ability to obtain any required sales-related licensure or registration
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic
  • Prior experience driving semi-trucks or trailers preferred
  • Experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service advantageous
  • Experience operating forklifts or Moffett equipment preferred
  • Knowledge of DOT and CDL regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical capability to handle loading, unloading, and delivery tasks.

Job Duties

  • Provide SMART customer service through adherence to Lowe's policies and procedures
  • Seek out customers to understand needs and assist with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise
  • Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, assisting with project guidance as necessary
  • Communicate detailed product and delivery information including stock, special orders, benefits, applications, warranties, and programs
  • Plan delivery activities, print loading tickets, and deliver merchandise according to schedule for on-time order fulfillment
  • Pull merchandise, build and band delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits following delivery orders
  • Inspect product condition prior to loading or customer assistance
  • Verify invoice items against quantities loaded by checking descriptions, items, and model numbers
  • Ensure delivery loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations
  • Update delivery and route status on tracking systems
  • Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery
  • Perform daily vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance and repairs of delivery vehicles and equipment
  • Complete DOT reporting requirements for certification and CDL compliance
  • Detect and report signs of shoplifting, theft, and security risks to management or Asset Protection
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of store and working areas in accordance with housekeeping standards
  • Uphold a safe and secure work environment by conducting safety reviews, noting hazards, and securing facilities
  • Adhere strictly to all relevant safety protocols, equipment use requirements, and operational procedures
  • Operate store equipment relevant to the role and department such as phones, paging systems, copiers, surveillance systems, and specialty tools
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
