Job Requirements
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States
- eligibility to obtain a TWIC card
- must be available to work overtime as needed
- ability to comply with DOT Hours of Service regulations
- ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds
- must maintain DOT safety and environmental compliance
- good driving record
- able to work in difficult conditions and handle emergencies
Job Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma or GED
- must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL), Type A with Hazmat and TX endorsements
- minimum three years of professional truck driving experience in a Type A vehicle
- minimum three years experience driving manual transmission vehicles
- petroleum or liquid transport experience preferred
- clean driving abstract for the last five years
- general mechanical knowledge and skills
- working proficiency in math
- strong communication skills
- ability to work under deadlines
- problem-solving and organizational skills
- ability to handle difficult customer and operational situations
Job Duties
- Receiver delivery orders from truck dispatcher
- organize delivery routes and prepare for delivery
- perform pre-delivery vehicle inspections and ensure all equipment is in good condition
- drive tank truck and trailer to customer locations
- connect hoses and valves and accurately record delivery amounts
- deliver paperwork and receipts to customers
- load trucks at designated facilities following rules and regulations
- complete post-trip vehicle inspections and report necessary repairs
- maintain good customer service and communication
- maintain clean and orderly work areas and truck equipment
- follow all safety and environmental regulations
- perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks
- carry out additional duties as assigned
