Job Requirements
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without visa sponsorship
- eligibility to obtain TWIC card
- high school diploma or GED
- valid CDL Type A with Hazmat and TX endorsements
- minimum three years of truck driving experience on Type A vehicles
- experience with manual transmission vehicles
- clean driving record for five years
- available for overtime work
- ability to lift 60 pounds
- compliance with DOT Hours of Service regulations
- basic mechanical skills
- ability to perform mathematical calculations
- strong communication and organizational skills
- ability to handle emergency situations
- willingness to adhere to safety and environmental policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- possess a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Type A with Hazmat and TX endorsements
- minimum three years of professional truck driving experience in a Type A vehicle
- experience driving manual transmission on CDL A or B vehicle
- preferred experience in petroleum or liquid transportation
- clean driving abstract for the last five years
- general mechanical knowledge and skills
- working knowledge of math for routine calculations
- availability to work overtime as needed
- ability to lift a minimum of 60 pounds
- good communication skills
- ability to meet deadlines and solve problems
- ability to work under difficult conditions with customers and operations
Job Duties
- Receive delivery orders from truck dispatcher
- organize delivery route and prepare for delivery
- perform pre-delivery trip checks on tank truck and fuels
- drive tank truck and trailer to customer locations
- connect hose, operate valves, read gauges and record delivery amounts
- complete post-trip truck inspections
- maintain delivery paperwork accurately
- establish and maintain good customer service and rapport
- communicate with customers regarding delivery schedules
- maintain clean and orderly work areas and equipment
- adhere to safety rules and DOT regulations
- perform minor vehicle maintenance such as changing light bulbs and valves
- report any safety or environmental incidents immediately
- perform other duties as assigned
