Job Requirements

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
  • flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • previous experience in an operational support role at a bakery, restaurant, or food service environment is a plus
  • willingness to adhere to NbC dress code and personal hygiene policies
  • ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate to heavy weights
  • good communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to understand written and oral directions, instructional documents such as recipes, order tickets, operating procedures, and health and safety rules
  • understanding of basic units of measurement used in the U.S
  • ability to perform repetitious tasks requiring precise and continuous movement of arms, wrists, hands, and fingers
  • physical capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • meticulous attention to timing and exact measurements in a fast-paced production environment
  • ability to evaluate products, processes, information, and surroundings for compliance with standards
  • discipline and attention to detail to adhere to health and safety practices
  • diligence, organization, self-motivation, and ability to prioritize workload and work independently with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Follow NbC proprietary frosting recipe and application methods with precision and achieve productivity goals
  • effectively utilize measuring instruments, commercial-grade or handheld mixer and pastry bag to frost cakes
  • prioritize cake pre-orders according to schedule and frost cakes for walk-in guest orders accordingly
  • ensure an adequate supply of samples and frosted cakes are available for guests in the bakery display case and maintain appropriate frosting and frosted cake par levels
  • adhere to the proper packaging, labeling, and storage of frosted cakes as well as product rotation standards, and maintain frosting and refrigeration logs
  • monitor inventory of frosting supplies and notify management when replenishment is required
  • evaluate baked and frosted cakes to ensure NbC standards are met and inform management of any quality control issues
  • clean, sanitize and restock workstation, ensure frosting supplies are sufficiently prepared for the next shift, and wash any equipment in the absence of the Dishwasher/Utility Employee
  • comply with all health and safety guidelines and NbC policies and procedures, including strict adherence to dress code and personal hygiene
  • maintain a consistent work attendance and punctuality record
