Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in front office or hospitality roles
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to lead and motivate a team
  • proficiency with property management software

  • availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Schedules and supervises workload during shifts of front office associates
  • trains new employees
  • evaluates the job performance of each front office associate and provides coaching when necessary
  • maintains positive working relationships and communicates with all departments
  • collaborates with housekeeping to ensure accurate room status information is maintained and communicated
  • resolves guest concerns quickly, efficiently, and courteously
  • updates group information and prepares group requirements
  • works within the allocated budget for the front office
  • conducts regularly scheduled meetings of front office team members
  • prepares and reviews daily front desk reporting and takes action to ensure interests of the hotel and guests are addressed
  • ensures implementation and compliance with company policies and brand standards
  • operates all aspects of front office computer system including software maintenance, report generation, and analysis
  • ensures employees are attentive, friendly, and courteous at all times
  • acts as Manager on Duty providing guidance and support to hotel departments
  • assists in other hotel areas as needed
  • participates in selection of new team members
  • completes weekly schedules and coordinates absence coverage for front office team
