Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two to three years supervisory experience preferred
  • Minimum one year front desk experience
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Greet register and assign rooms to guests
  • Verify customers' credit and establish payment methods
  • Contact housekeeping or maintenance for guest issues
  • Make and confirm reservations
  • Issue room keys and provide escort instructions to bellhops
  • Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts manually or electronically
  • Post charges to guest ledgers
  • Compute bills collect payments and make change
  • Record guest comments or complaints and refer to managers
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services registration and travel directions
  • Clean and maintain lobby and common areas
  • Plan schedule and supervise work of front desk employees
  • Advise housekeeping staff about room readiness
  • Assist guests with check-in check-out and special requests
  • Train new associates and provide ongoing cashier training
  • Ensure staff knowledge of hotel emergency procedures
  • Balance accounts and complete shift checklists
  • Greet guests professionally and handle guest questions within guidelines
