Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have experience or aptitude for cash handling and customer service
  • Must be fluent in oral and written English
  • Ability to manage stressful and emotional customer situations tactfully
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Must be available to work flexible hours with an 8-hour shift in person

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Fluent in oral and written English
  • Experience in dealing directly with the public
  • Knowledge of basic customer service skills
  • Mathematical aptitude at a high school graduate level
  • Ability to use tact and understanding in customer service situations
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties

  • Greets and completes established check-in procedures for arriving guests daily using manual and computerized methods
  • Facilitates guest departure (check-out) by following established procedures to close accounts and prepare rooms for next guests
  • Regularly calculates and posts monies, receipts, and guest accounts using accurate cash handling methods
  • Courteously answers inquiries and accepts reservations in person and by telephone using suggestive selling techniques
  • Maintains good customer relations by providing knowledgeable responses to guest questions and concerns
  • Operates PBX equipment to manage incoming and outgoing calls, wake-up calls, and paging guests
  • Controls cash transactions at the front desk and maintains responsibility for personal bank as per hotel policy
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
