Job Qualifications
- High-school graduate or equivalent
- one year of work-related experience preferably in customer service, hotel industry, or management
- proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- experience in data entry and database management
- telephone etiquette skills
- understanding of hospitality industry preferred
- previous experience as a guest services agent preferred
- bilingual communication skills preferred
Job Duties
- Serve as concierge to guests including making restaurant reservations, providing directions, and recommending area attractions
- become familiar with property location, room types, rates, and services offered
- review guest reservation status and assist guests in making choices using suggestive selling techniques
- accommodate guests with registration, assign rooms, generate secure room cards, and assist with special requests
- verify guests' methods of payment and adhere to credit, cash-handling, and check-cashing policies
- input guest information into the PMS system and maintain a clean front desk area
- coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments regarding room status and guest requests
- report unusual occurrences or requests to management and understand safety and emergency procedures
- perform additional tasks to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
