Job Duties
- Act as the ambassador of the hotel providing information to guests on all hotel aspects including pool location, hours of food and beverage facilities, laundry location, and room types
- Review arriving reservations for special requests and VIPs, pre-assign rooms and pre-register groups
- Count cash drawer at beginning and end of each shift and prepare shift deposit accurately following procedures
- Maintain understanding of PMS cash register operation
- Compare housekeepers report with folio log at start of PM shift
- Enter wakeup calls accurately and record guest messages and mail
- Record future reservations by phone or in person following standard procedures
- Handle complaints efficiently and courteously, taking immediate personal responsibility or notifying supervisors if needed
- Post phone charges and all shift-incurred guest charges using standard procedures
- File folios, registration cards, and reservation cards, completing shift checklist before end of shift
- Maintain fresh coffee in lobby at all times
- Answer telephone efficiently and pleasantly within three rings, determining call nature and transferring to correct extension
- Report any safety hazards or violations observed during duties
- Perform other assigned duties as requested
