Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-year front desk or guest services experience at a hotel or resort
  • Must have a reliable source of transportation
  • Flexible schedule required
  • Ability to think logically and solve problems with proven track record of prioritizing and organizing time
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have knowledge and background in hospitality
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Hard working with a professional attitude

Job Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-year front desk or guest services experience at a hotel or resort
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be computer literate
  • Knowledge and background in hospitality
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Professional attitude and hardworking nature
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Bi-lingual candidates preferred

Job Duties

  • Check in and out resort guests in a timely and professional fashion
  • Process all payments according to established procedures including posting activities fees and package fees
  • Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner
  • Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on the resort amenities and activities
  • Promptly and courteously answer phones
  • Up-sell rooms when possible to maximize hotel occupancy
  • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures including posting charges, completing deposit reports, preparing deposits, and securing assigned bank
  • Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to appropriate departments such as management, maintenance, housekeeping that may require additional monitoring or follow-up
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints
  • Make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure complete guest satisfaction
  • Book or create guest reservations for individuals requested from within the resort
  • Effectively communicate cancellations or changes with the reservations department
  • Ensure guest personal information is updated in the system prior to printing registration forms
  • Log all guest packages appropriately with full details and verify identities before handing over packages
  • Ensure all mail is filed correctly
  • Utilize email to communicate with other departments or when management is unavailable for follow-ups
  • Place notes in reservations system regarding potential guest complaints
  • Maintain front desk cleanliness and stock for the next attendant
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager
