Job Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-year front desk or guest services experience at a hotel or resort
  • Must have knowledge and background in hospitality
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must have a reliable source of transportation
  • Good communication skills both written and verbally
  • Ability to think logically and solve problems
  • Flexible with assigned tasks and able to work independently and in a team
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Hard working with a professional attitude
  • Bi-lingual candidates preferred
  • Flexible schedule is required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Check in and out resort guests in a timely and professional fashion
  • Process all payments according to established procedures including posting activity and package fees
  • Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt, and professional manner
  • Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on resort amenities and activities
  • Promptly and courteously answer phones
  • Up-sell rooms to maximize hotel occupancy
  • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions and prepare deposits
  • Communicate guest requests or issues to appropriate departments
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints and make service recovery gestures
  • Book and create guest reservations within the resort
  • Communicate cancellations or changes with the reservations department
  • Update guest personal information before printing registration forms
  • Log all guest packages with proper details
  • Verify guest identity before providing packages and obtain signature
  • Organize and file mail correctly
  • Use email for communication and management follow-ups
  • Place notes in reservation system for potential guest complaints
  • Maintain a clean and stocked front desk area
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
