Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Positive and upbeat personality with desire to deliver outstanding customer service
- Ability to multitask, be detail-oriented and problem solve effectively
- Ability to convey information clearly
- Ability to quickly and accurately evaluate and select courses of action
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Effective problem handling skills

- Ability to work with and understand financial data and perform basic arithmetic
- Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and short correspondence

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards
- Comply at all times with Avion Hospitality policies, standards and regulations
- Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk
- Maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard
- Handle requests for information, mail and messages efficiently and courteously
- Answer guest inquiries about hotel service, facilities and hours
- Answer inquiries from guests regarding restaurants, transportation and entertainment
- Establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments
- Be aware of all rates, packages and special promotions
- Obtain necessary information when taking reservations
- Be familiar with Avion Hospitality policies and hospitality terminology
- Assist in emergency procedures when required
- Handle check-ins and check-outs courteously and efficiently
- Operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
- Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages
- Use proper two-way radio etiquette
- Deliver guest items like luggage, newspapers, packages, and amenities as needed
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of property amenities, special events, and local attractions
- Perform other duties as assigned including helping coworkers and maintaining cleanliness and safety throughout the hotel and grounds
