Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
- maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards as required by scheduling that varies with hotel needs
- comply with all Avion Hospitality policies, standards, and regulations to promote safe and efficient hotel operations
- greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Avion Hospitality standards while maintaining a warm demeanor
- maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard and meet Avion Hospitality performance standards
- handle requests for information, mail, and messages efficiently and courteously
- answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation
- respond to inquiries regarding local restaurants, transportation, and entertainment
- establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and other departments
- be aware of all rates, packages, special promotions, and know all in-house groups, including closed out and restricted dates
- obtain necessary information when taking room reservations following rate quoting scenarios
- be familiar with Avion Hospitality policies, house rules, and hospitality terminology
- assist in emergency procedures as required
- handle check-ins and check-outs courteously and efficiently
- operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system effectively
- ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms
- use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating with associates
- deliver guest items such as luggage, newspapers, messages, packages, and amenities as needed
- maintain updated knowledge of property amenities and local area attractions
- perform other duties as assigned including assisting coworkers, maintaining work area cleanliness, and ensuring hotel safety and cleanliness
