Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • experience in a hotel or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and name tag
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion Hospitality standards
  • comply with Avion Hospitality policies, standards, and regulations
  • greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Avion Hospitality standards
  • maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard
  • handle requests for information, mail, and messages efficiently and courteously
  • answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation
  • provide information regarding local restaurants, transportation, and entertainment
  • establish and maintain good communications and teamwork with associates and other departments
  • stay informed on rates, packages, and special promotions
  • obtain all necessary information when taking room reservations
  • handle check-ins and check-outs in a friendly, efficient, and courteous manner
  • operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
  • ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages
  • use proper two-way radio etiquette when communicating
  • deliver guest items as needed
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of property amenities and local attractions
  • perform other duties as assigned, including helping coworkers and maintaining cleanliness and safety
