Job Requirements

- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally

- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
- Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to understand requests, respond with appropriate action, and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions
- Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming number of guests and room rate, making appropriate room selections, coding electronic keys, and providing welcome folders
- Verify and accurately imprint credit cards for authorization, handle cash and balance an assigned house bank, accept multiple forms of payment, perform arithmetic functions, and post charges to guest rooms
- Promptly answer the telephone, input messages, retrieve and communicate messages to guests, and manage mail and packages
- Close guest accounts at check out and ascertain satisfaction, negotiate compromises as needed including authorizing revenue allowances
- Remain calm and alert during emergencies or heavy hotel activity, resolve complications such as location changes or credit issues
- Field guest complaints, conduct thorough research to develop effective solutions and negotiate results
- Work varying schedules as needed
- Summon bell staff to escort guests
- Provide safe deposit box services
- Maintain familiarity with property functions and outlet operations to market property to guests positively
- Assist PBX operators or reservations agents as assigned
