Job Requirements

  • At least two years food preparation experience in a high volume food service environment
  • Must have current State of Illinois Food Sanitation certification or obtain within six months of hire
  • If no valid license is in place prior to hire, Serve Safe Food Handler certification required to be completed within 30 days of hire
  • Ability to work per diem varied shifts between 5:30am-2:00pm or 7:30am-4:00pm or 2:30pm-6:30pm
  • Commitment to follow all safety and sanitation procedures

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years of food preparation experience in a high volume food service environment
  • Current State of Illinois Food Sanitation certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire
  • Serve Safe Food Handler certification if no valid license is in place prior to hire
  • Ability to work varied day and evening shifts
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety standards

Job Duties

  • Prepare food items in accordance with established recipes and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and food prep areas
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies
  • Comply with health department regulations and hospital policies
  • Support team members in daily food service operations
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
