Job Requirements
- Grammar school education or higher
- two years experience in institutional food preparation
- appropriate background in food purchasing
- ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
- one year experience in supervision of staff and assignment of duties
- maintain current First Aid Certification
- maintain current ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification

Job Duties
- Prepares high quality meals in sufficient quantities by stated time
- plans menus that meet nutrition guidelines
- provides special menus for holidays and events
- assists with fund raising events by preparing meals and working outside regular schedule
- supervises kitchen staff and plans work schedules
- purchases raw food and supplies while coordinating with vendors
- monitors health, safety, and fire prevention standards in kitchen and dining areas
- maintains ongoing raw food and supply inventory
- assists in preparation of reports and records related to meals
- attends job-related training
