Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
- availability for on-call work schedule
- willingness to undergo background screening if applicable
- reliable transportation to Hermiston School District
- ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- Previous food service experience preferred but not required
- ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- good communication and customer service skills
- ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying food items
- willingness to learn and adhere to company policies
- basic math skills for measuring ingredients
- ability to work a flexible on-call schedule
Job Duties
- Prepares and serves food as needed
- performs prep work including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables
- weighs and measures ingredients accurately
- carries pans, kettles, and trays safely between work stations
- stores food following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures
- cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils
- distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment
- follows approved recipes and portion control standards
- serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner
- resolves customer concerns and reports to supervisor
- ensures compliance with sanitation, safety, and inventory control requirements
- performs other duties as assigned
