Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
  • availability for on-call work schedule
  • willingness to undergo background screening if applicable
  • reliable transportation to Hermiston School District
  • ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Previous food service experience preferred but not required
  • ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • good communication and customer service skills
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying food items
  • willingness to learn and adhere to company policies
  • basic math skills for measuring ingredients
  • ability to work a flexible on-call schedule

Job Duties

  • Prepares and serves food as needed
  • performs prep work including washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables
  • weighs and measures ingredients accurately
  • carries pans, kettles, and trays safely between work stations
  • stores food following wrapping, dating, and rotation procedures
  • cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • distributes supplies, utensils, and portable equipment
  • follows approved recipes and portion control standards
  • serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner
  • resolves customer concerns and reports to supervisor
  • ensures compliance with sanitation, safety, and inventory control requirements
  • performs other duties as assigned
