Job Requirements

  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or have an approved exemption
  • ability to work flexible 24 to 32 hours per week with day and evening shifts
  • willingness to work every other weekend and holiday rotation
  • ability to maintain food safety and hygiene standards
  • capability to perform supervisory duties under general department manager supervision

Job Qualifications

  • Completion of four years of high school plus specialized training or courses
  • minimum of three years related work experience
  • ServSafe Certificate within 90 days of start
  • MA Allergen Awareness Certificate
  • ability to provide leadership and support to a team
  • effective communication and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Provide shift-to-shift leadership for the Patient Services Department
  • oversee daily operations of food service within the hospital setting
  • ensure compliance with food safety standards including ServSafe and allergen awareness
  • support and manage team members to maintain high service quality
  • coordinate schedules and duties for food service staff
  • assist the manager with administrative and operational tasks
  • perform other reasonable duties as assigned
