Job Requirements
- Paid or unpaid experience in food service work
- graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
- some work experience
- ability to lift minimum of 25 pounds
- willingness to work weekends and holidays
- flexibility to work extended or unusual hours
- passing fingerprint criminal background check
- pre-employment drug screening
- registry checks including Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System
- must be at least 18 years old
- males between 18 to 25 must register with Selective Service
Job Qualifications
- Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent
- six months experience in food service work preferred
- ability to speak and read English
- skill in operation and sanitizing of food service equipment
- ability to follow written and oral instructions
- ability to use basic math in cooking and preparation
- ability to lift at least 25 pounds
- ability to work in hot and cold conditions
- ability to work harmoniously with co-workers and residents
Job Duties
- Attend work on a regular basis
- work scheduled and rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- assist in preparation and portioning of food for special diets
- prepare scheduled snacks and maintain snack supplies
- distribute and serve food safely and sanitarily
- follow food handling procedures according to federal, state, and HACCP guidelines
- receive delivery of food and supplies and prepare related paperwork
- perform sanitation and cleaning of kitchen, stockroom, and food preparation areas
- train or assist in training new food service employees
- participate in disaster response and COOP activations as required
