Job Requirements
- Prefer high school diploma or equivalent
- previous food service experience helpful but not required
- ability to operate simple equipment such as compactor and dish machine
- ability to stand for extended periods
- ability to bend and lift for majority of day including pulling trash, sweeping, and mopping floors
- ability to work in noisy environment with exposure to hot temperatures in dishroom
- demonstrated organization skills
- attention to detail with ability to produce accurate work
- excellent written and oral communication skills to interact effectively with employees, managers, and patients

Job Duties
- Performs dishroom duties including washing, rinsing, and sanitizing pots and pans
- changes water as necessary in dish machine and pot sink
- scrapes, loads and unloads dishes from dish machine
- maintains overall cleanliness and sanitation in dishroom including tables, walls, floors, conveyor belts, shelves, and drains
- safely disassembles and cleans all inner components of the dish machine daily and assembles at start of shift
- delimes dish machine weekly as assigned
- maintains soap and paper towel dispensers daily
- cleans and sanitizes inside of patient meals delivery cars daily
- records dish machine temperatures at all three meals daily
- fills out pot sanitizer log three times per day
- reports unsafe conditions to manager or POM as needed
- disposes of trash in kitchen and cafeteria timely and neatly
- utilizes cardboard recycling compactor and breaks down boxes
- cleans and sanitizes trash carts and cans daily or as needed
- transports used grease to exterior barrels maintaining cleanliness
- thoroughly sweeps floors each shift including under tables and equipment
- mops floors thoroughly with clean water changing as needed
- places wet floor signs as needed
- completes assigned project cleanings with minimal supervision
- uses chemicals safely per manufacturer guidelines
- completes other duties as assigned
