Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food service or supervisory role preferred
  • must complete sanitation course before or during first year
  • ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions
  • basic math skills
  • ability to maintain emotional control under stress
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • availability to work occasional nights and weekends
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform active food service duties

Job Qualifications

  • knowledgeable in operating an efficient, cost-effective program

Job Duties

  • Produce and maintain work schedules and may prepare production packets
  • direct daily activities
  • maintain food production according to safety and quality policies
  • ensure safe and organized food storage
  • maintain serving schedules and food service per menu specifications
  • follow health and safety codes for department sanitation
  • maintain accurate weekly inventory
  • prepare orders for location production as needed
  • supervise and evaluate employees promoting growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork
  • maintain hazard-free working environment
  • train and mentor food service workers
  • maintain maintenance logs for department equipment
  • ensure completion of food safety and temperature logs with corrective actions
  • perform preventative maintenance checklist
  • recommend equipment replacement
  • multitask proficiently
  • perform other duties assigned by Food Service Director or Manager
  • fill in for absent employees
  • manage daily catering event preparation and delivery
  • work occasional night and weekend catered events
  • attend food service meetings
  • maintain communication with staff
  • perform cashier duties as needed
  • promote good public relations
