Job Description

The Department of Health Services (DHS), Wisconsin Resource Center (WRC), is currently seeking a dedicated Food Service Leader 2 to join their team. WRC is a premier psychiatric facility located in Wisconsin, recognized as the largest psychiatric institution in the state. It is unique in its role as the only secure treatment center specializing in caring for individuals with severe mental health conditions, especially those referred by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and the community. Job Requirements

  • Ability to work scheduled hours including weekends, holidays, early mornings, early evenings, and overtime as needed
  • Experience with basic sanitation procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Capable of pushing and pulling loaded food carts
  • Ability to bend, twist, kneel, stoop, stand, sit, and work on feet for extended periods
  • Willingness to undergo background check and tuberculosis test

Job Qualifications

  • Experience working in food service, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards
  • Experience in a leadership role

Job Duties

  • Train, lead, and direct residents in food distribution and service
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Supervise related sanitation activities within the Food Service areas
  • Oversee the preparation and serving of meals
  • Maintain inventory and proper storage of food items
  • Coordinate schedules and assign tasks to residents and staff
  • Monitor and document food service operations for quality control
