- familiarity with assistive technology and visual communication methods
Job Duties
- assist the director in planning, preparing, and overseeing nutritionally balanced meals that meet USDA guidelines
- assist with food procurement, inventory control, and kitchen staff supervision
- ensure compliance with federal nutrition standards and food safety regulations
- collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to accommodate dietary restrictions, food allergies, and cultural preferences
- maintain accurate records for USDA meal reimbursement programs
- manage budgets effectively
- train and supervise kitchen staff while implementing food safety protocols
