Job Requirements
- Education or experience in food service management or related field
- Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and ability to work with children
- Documentation of all certification and training requirements established by DEL, DOH, and USDA CACFP
- Current documentation of negative TB test and portable background check
- Previous experience planning menus and cooking for large groups
- USDA experience preferred
- Fluency in a second language desired

- Knowledge of child nutrition programs and USDA CACFP regulations
- Ability to plan menus and prepare nutritious meals
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience working in a childcare or youth program setting preferred
- Ability to educate and train staff on food service safety and compliance

- Capability to maintain accurate program records and documentation
Job Duties
- Plan menus, inventory supplies, order food and food service supplies, picking up grocery orders, store food and prepare meals and snacks in a manner allowing maximum effectiveness in financial responsibility while adhering to all program healthy eating guidelines
- Comply with requirements of all relevant regulating authorities and YMCA of Snohomish County guidelines and procedures
- Accommodate children with food allergies and special nutritional needs, and dispense medication as directed in accordance to regulations
- Oversee proper documentation and accommodations for food allergies and special nutritional needs
- Attend and participate in family events, program activities, and staff meetings as directed
- Educate program staff on food service safety and CACFP implementation and record keeping procedures through regular communication, orientation of new staff, and required annual training for program staff
- Communicate positively with parents and staff to ensure nutritional and individual needs of every child and safety in administration of medications is met
- Maintain all relevant program records in an organized manner for easy review by regulating authorities
- Maintain positive relations with participants, parents and other staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Organizing recipe binder and menu binder
- Tracking monthly food spending for USDA meals & receipts binder
- Oversee annual USDA Study Month Income Eligibility report
- Complete accurate monthly meal counts and USDA claim submissions
