Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in food service or retail preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Good communication skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to follow all safety and sanitation guidelines
- Must pass background check and any applicable health screenings

- Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols

- Basic computer skills for app promotion and transaction monitoring
Job Duties
- Ensure that the food service department is open and ready for business during food service hours
- Give all customers prompt and courteous service
- Effectively communicate with store associates
- Follow all federal, state and local laws and ordinances pertaining to the operation of the store
- Control how much food is prepared to avoid waste while ensuring sufficient supply
- Treat all associates with dignity and respect
- Advise store manager of any personnel situations or policy violations affecting performance
- Assist in training new associates on job duties
- Ensure all associate shift procedures are followed
- Maintain a safe shopping and working environment
- Enforce safety rules and use of protective equipment
- Ensure current plan-o-grams are used
- Communicate special needs or requests to manager
- Alert manager about merchandise ordering to avoid out of stocks and manage inventory
- Promote the Huck’s Bucks Loyalty app to customers
- Explain benefits of the app for discounts and redemption
- Monitor app transactions for misuse of points or discounts
- Assist customers in signing up and using the loyalty app
- Maintain food service appearance meeting company standards
- Keep food service display cases and glass clean
- Report maintenance problems to the store manager
- Follow all sanitation procedures in food service areas
- Ensure proper use of ladders
- Follow lifting procedures per company policy
- Use wet floor signs as required
- Report accidents promptly to store manager and corporate office
