Job Requirements
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
- one year experience in food service
- one year customer service experience
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate tactfully and effectively with patients and hospital personnel
- ability to problem-solve in a customer service environment
- one year customer service experience
- one year food service leadership experience preferred
Job Duties
- Coordinate and lead Food Service Representatives who prepare food or beverages
- set up patient trays
- deliver patient trays
- obtain patient menu selections
- handle retail transactions
- operate dishwashing machines and clean kitchen area
- communicate between nursing units, patients, and Food Service Department regarding patient menus and diet changes
- assist supervisors/leads in daily operation of patient services program
- assist with customer service recovery initiatives
- conduct daily patient rounding to ensure meal standards, service, and quality
- document feedback and enter into software
- perform service recovery and share feedback with Food Service leadership
- assist with onboarding and training new patient dining associates
