Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology or related Life Science
  • One or more years of relevant industry experience
  • One or more years of supervisory experience
  • Detail oriented
  • Works well with others
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Willingness to gain SQF, PCQI, HACCP, FDQI and Better Process Control School certifications as required
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Estimated travel of 5 percent to 10 percent

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science and Technology or related Life Science
  • One or more years of relevant industry experience
  • One or more years of supervisory experience
  • Detail oriented
  • Works well with others
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
  • SQF, PCQI, HACCP, FDQI and Better Process Control School Certification or willingness to obtain
  • Training in Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing is a plus

Job Duties

  • Implement Food Safety Programs including HACCP and GFSI compliance
  • Provide supervisory oversight of Supplier Quality Specialist and QA Raw Materials staff
  • Lead the Food Safety Team and manage non-conformity resolution
  • Conduct and assist with third-party and internal audits and regulatory inspections
  • Oversee sensory evaluation including appearance, odor, flavor, and texture
  • Participate in daily product tasting and monitor sensory attribute trends
  • Review and approve non-conformance reports and investigations
