The role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining area, assisting with opening and closing procedures, and upholding the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism. Reporting directly to the manager and kitchen manager on duty, the food runner/busser ensures smooth service flow by efficiently handling food delivery, bussing duties, and restocking tasks.

Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age with proper legal identification
  • must possess food handler or certification if mandated by local, state, and/or federal codes
  • ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, and climb stairs
  • ability to lift or carry service trays weighing up to 50 pounds multiple times per shift
  • able to operate point-of-sale computers
  • walking, standing, and moving briskly during the entire shift
  • reading and writing skills
  • physical agility and dexterity of both hands

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • help with opening procedures and setting tables
  • run food, bus tubs, and silverware buckets
  • restock the server stations
  • assist servers in clearing tables
  • maintain the efficiency and cleanliness of the dining area and server stations
  • help with closing procedures
  • perform any other related duties as assigned by the manager on duty
  • adhere to all state and local laws, and policies of the pub, regarding the service of alcohol
  • maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional relationship with all pub guests and employees
  • keep self-neat, clean, and in proper uniform at all times
  • abide by all pub policies and procedures
