Job Requirements
- Experience in cooking or a comparable role
- Food safety certification
- Knowledge of food preparation and safety principles
- Basic math skills
- Strong communication skills
- Physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods
- Adherence to safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Experience in cooking or a comparable role
- Confirmed grasp of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking techniques, and compliance with food safety regulations
- Fulfilling the requirements for food safety certification
- Expertise in basic math operations and numerical counting proficiency
- Proficiency in interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal communication
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing
Job Duties
- Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
- Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
- Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
- Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
- Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- Ensure security of company assets
