Job Requirements

  • Experience in cooking or a comparable role
  • knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking techniques
  • compliance with food safety regulations
  • food safety certification required
  • proficiency in basic math
  • good interpersonal communication skills
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking or a comparable culinary role
  • knowledge of food preparation principles and various cooking techniques
  • compliance with food safety regulations including accurate food handling, cleanliness, and storage
  • food safety certification
  • proficiency in basic math operations and numerical counting
  • strong interpersonal communication skills including written and verbal
  • ability to meet physical requirements such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc
  • bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
  • ensure security of company assets
