Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in cooking or related culinary role
  • Food safety certification
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Physical stamina to handle kitchen duties such as lifting, standing, and walking
  • Commitment to teamwork and positive attitude

Job Qualifications

  • Experience in cooking or a comparable role
  • Knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking techniques, and compliance with food safety regulations including accurate food handling, cleanliness, and storage procedures
  • Food safety certification
  • Expertise in basic math operations and numerical counting proficiency
  • Proficiency in interpersonal communication skills, including written and verbal communication
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
  • Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
  • Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
  • Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
  • Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
  • Arrange, garnish, and portion food according to established guidelines
  • Properly store food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
  • Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
  • Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
  • Ensure security of company assets
