Job Requirements

  • 2-3 years of relevant culinary experience
  • equivalent of 2-3 years of post-high school education or relevant experience
  • strong leadership skills
  • excellent verbal and written communication
  • ability to manage kitchen operations effectively
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to work under pressure
  • willingness to mentor junior staff

Job Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of experience in a relevant culinary role
  • 2-3 years of post-high school education or equivalent experience
  • comprehensive understanding of food service industry practices
  • skilled at leading teams and addressing challenges in a dynamic kitchen environment
  • excellent communication skills including speaking, reading, and writing
  • ability to mentor and develop junior staff
  • knowledge of health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Coordinate and supervise culinary tasks while training and managing kitchen staff
  • Monitor daily kitchen operations to facilitate smooth service delivery and uphold quality standards
  • Gauge anticipated food consumption to requisition or obtain required food items
  • Develop menu options and standardize production protocols to ensure quality
  • Establish presentation techniques, quality standards, and price menus
  • Maintain and operate kitchen equipment correctly to safeguard performance
  • Uphold health and safety regulations by maintaining sanitation and safety standards
  • Oversee special catering events and provide culinary guidance
  • Assist in the development of junior culinary staff through expertise sharing and mentoring
