Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a nonprofit or community service setting
- Valid government issued driver's license
- Knowledge of and sensitivity to the HIV/AIDS patient population or eagerness to learn about this community
- Flexibility in response to change, adapting quickly to shifting priorities

- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
- Food Manager or Food Handler Certification is preferred
- HIV experience in a not-for-profit environment is preferred
Job Duties
- Greet and assist clients accessing the food pantry with empathy and respect
- Collaborate with other program staff to maintain accurate inventory records
- Monitor stock levels, organize shelves, and track expiration dates to minimize waste
- Participate in the smooth operation of food distribution processes
- Pack and distribute food items according to established guidelines
- Conduct regular quality checks on food items to ensure freshness and compliance with safety standards
- Maintain detailed records of food distribution activities
- Assist in compiling data for reports
- Work collaboratively with volunteers supporting food pantry operations
- Foster positive relationships with clients and community partners
- Adhere to all agency policies, including confidentiality and compliance standards
