Job Duties

  • Assist with tray assembly, preparation of special diet needs including puree meals and supplements or non-patient services
  • Know basic food preparation techniques including receiving, storing, preparation, and holding of food items
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of food service sanitation and infection control procedures including HAACP guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, Food and Nutrition Supervisor, Group Leaders, and food service team peers
  • Show a willingness to assist in other areas of the kitchen such as cold prep, bakery, storeroom, café serving line, dish room, or tray line
  • Comply with hospital standards, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health policies and legal standards
