Job Requirements
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field
- 2-year college degree with 3 or more years of experience or 4-year college degree with 1 to 2 years of related experience or culinary degree with relevant experience
- Holds and maintains certification including food handlers, alcohol awareness, CPR and first aid
- Proficient in Windows operating systems and office software
- Extensive experience in restaurant bar, banquet, catering, in room dining and kitchen management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Ability to assimilate complex information from various sources
- Skilled at resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
- Competent in financial data analysis and budgeting

Job Qualifications

- Holds and maintains applicable certification such as food handlers, alcohol awareness, CPR and first aid
- Proficient in Windows operating systems, approved spreadsheets and word processing
- Extensive experience in restaurant bar, banquet, catering, in-room dining and kitchen management
- Strong communication skills with ability to convey information clearly
- Ability to evaluate and choose among alternative actions quickly and accurately
- Effective problem-solver in high pressure situations
- Ability to assimilate complex data from disparate sources and adapt to meet specific constraints
- Skilled at listening, understanding and resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with financial information and data including forecasting and budgeting
- Knowledge of hotel organization and departmental functions

Job Duties
- Organizing, directing, supervising and assisting in the preparation and service of all food and beverage for restaurant, room service, market, employee cafeteria and banquets based on standardized recipes
- Ensuring cleanliness, sanitation and safety in kitchens, service stations, front of house, back of house work and storage areas while minimizing waste and maximizing cost production ratio
- Planning meals and service while directing and guiding the chef with assignments such as pricing and banquets
- Providing oversight of the kitchen staff, outlets, banquet food display merchandising, and operations of kitchen, service, beverage and banquet departments as required
- Driving improvement in restaurant, room service, lounge, market and banquet sales and customer service scores
- Developing team members and fostering a positive work environment
- Monitoring and controlling payroll and overhead costs to adhere to budget
