Job Requirements
- College degree preferably in hotel and/or restaurant management
- 1-2 years restaurant management and/or supervisory experience
- San Diego County Food Handler's Certification
- Responsible Beverage Control Certification
- Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in English
- Knowledge of service and cost control in food and beverage
- Ability to supervise and train staff
- Strong communication skills
- Availability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Full-time commitment

- 6 months food and beverage service experience
- San Diego County Food Handler's Certification
- Responsible Beverage Control Certification
- Knowledge of service, cost control in food and beverage, labor controls, employee relations, maintenance and merchandising
Job Duties
- Train restaurant staff for smooth operation
- Supervise and discipline staff
- Maintain a friendly yet unobtrusive manner with guests
- Take reservations and assign seating per service standards
- Ensure consistent service techniques across meal periods
- Anticipate materials and supplies availability
- Control usage of food, beverage items and equipment
- Observe and recommend improvements for physical facilities and equipment
- Assist in staff scheduling to control labor costs and overtime
- Prepare daily and weekly payroll
- Complete paperwork related to revenue and labor
- Understand food and beverage offerings including ingredients and service
- Maintain communication logs between staff and management
- Participate in inventory operations
- Support Food and Beverage team and assume responsibility in department head absence
