In the Box Office, Floor Staff operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to sell tickets while adhering to MPAA rating policies and promoting membership programs like the Regal Crown Club. In the Concession area, team members prepare and sell food and beverages, ensure adherence to food safety regulations, and assist with inventory management. Ushers assist guests by checking tickets, directing patrons to auditoriums, managing crowd control, and performing facility inspections to maintain optimal picture and sound quality.
This role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to solve problems under pressure, and a commitment to following company policies including dress code and attendance. Floor Staff must be capable of handling emergency situations, completing mandatory training programs including responsible beverage service certification when applicable, and supporting opening and closing procedures. Physically, the position requires frequent standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds, along with good vision abilities including depth perception and focus adjustment. Job Requirements
- Completion of a cast certification program
- Availability for variable or part-time work as assigned by theater needs
- Ability to operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Ability to comply with MPAA rating system and company policies
- Must pass required alcohol certification and training if selling or serving alcohol
- Must be at legal age to sell or serve alcohol where applicable
- Ability to follow safety and food handling regulations
- Must have physical ability to stand, walk, reach, lift up to 60 pounds, and maintain visual acuity
- Good attendance and adherence to company dress code
- Ability to handle emergency situations as required
Job Qualifications
- Completion of cast certification program as a cast member and progress towards box office cashier certification
- Completion of Regal Responsible Beverage Server training if applicable
- Good public speaking skills
- Ability to listen effectively and respond clearly
- Perform calculations with accuracy
- Identify and solve problems based on evidence
- Excellent communication skills with customers and colleagues
- Ability to establish goals, manage time, and set priorities
Job Duties
- Operate POS system, including handling cash drawer, credit cards, travelers’ checks, gift cards, and redeemed discount tickets
- Upsell and suggest Premium Viewing Experiences such as 3D, RPX, and IMAX
- Promote the Regal Crown Club program
- Ensure ticket sales comply with the MPAA rating system and company policy
- Respond to guest questions and phone calls with excellent customer service
- Prepare and clean concession equipment and maintain inventory
- Comply with all local, state, and federal food safety laws
- Tear tickets, collect stubs, and direct patrons to auditoriums
- Conduct auditorium inspections for picture and sound quality and safety
- Manage crowd control and assist guests with seating
- Monitor cleanliness of restrooms, lobby, hallways, and vending equipment
- Report issues and unusual situations to management
- Assist with all opening and closing duties as assigned
- Handle emergency situations when necessary
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance
- Comply with company dress code
