Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 20 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience
  • Height and weight must allow safe aircraft operation including sitting in a jump seat and fastening the harness without modifications or extenders
  • Ability to navigate the cabin aisle and operate emergency exits
  • Valid U.S. or foreign passport with applicable visas valid through December 31 2026
  • Legal right to work in the U.S. and ability to travel unrestricted to and from all served locations
  • Willingness to relocate based on company operational needs
  • Potential base locations include BOS CLT DCA DFW LGA LAX MIA ORD PHL PHX
  • Availability to work nights weekends holidays and extended hours
  • Ability to report for on call reserve duty at assigned base potentially for many years
  • Professional representation of the American Airlines brand in uniform
  • No visible tattoos
  • No more than one earring per ear
  • No facial piercings

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least 20 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of two years of customer service experience in industries such as retail hospitality food service education aviation or social services
  • Resiliency remaining composed and adaptable in unexpected challenges
  • Ability to manage pressure and stay calm and decisive in high-stress situations
  • Dependability with strong attendance and professionalism
  • Commitment to outstanding customer service with warmth empathy and attentiveness

  • Ability to read write make announcements give emergency orders and communicate fluently in English
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to perform all safety-related procedures

Job Duties

  • Ensuring the safety and comfort of every customer consistently following FAA regulations and company procedures
  • Responding with leadership and composure to a variety of emergency and non-emergency situations
  • Meeting high standards of dependability and professionalism to ensure on-time departures and seamless operations
  • Demonstrating adaptability and resilience by handling long hours and irregular schedules while staying composed in a dynamic environment
  • Adhering to company policies procedures and performance standards including uniform and appearance guidelines
  • Working independently without direct supervision while remaining a collaborative and dependable member of the flight crew
  • Providing exceptional in-flight service including serving hot and cold meals and beverages and selling onboard products
  • Handling a wide variety of customer-facing situations both on and off the aircraft with professionalism and care
  • Operating in diverse global environments including various climates and time zones
